About Kristen
I’m Kristen Lightner - founder of KKL Research. I started KKL Research to provide research services, market exploration and competitive analysis for companies of all sizes - from solo entrepreneurs to large multinationals. I also work with several New York Times best-selling authors on book manuscripts and leading academic researchers on journal publications and research proposals.
I serve multiple roles, including freelance researcher and as a contractor for major consulting firms, marketing teams, research houses, think tanks and Fortune 500 companies. I work independently and also create, manage and lead large research teams when a project calls for it.
I’m based in Texas and earned my B.A. in Psychology (focusing on research methods) at St. Edward’s University. Prior to opening KKL Research, I served as a faculty member and in student and academic affairs roles at Texas A&M University and St. Edward's University.
